Our Brand Work
Brands aren’t invented. They’re revealed. The strongest brands don’t begin with a logo. They begin with understanding.
We help organizations discover what makes them distinctive, then create the brand and communication systems that bring that story to life.
By uncovering what makes an organization genuinely distinctive—its purpose, personality, values and ambitions—we create a strategic foundation that guides every decision that follows. The result is a brand that feels authentic, communicates consistently and builds lasting relationships with the people it serves.
Every project is different, but our approach remains the same.
Discover. We ask questions, challenge assumptions and take the time to understand your business, your audience and what success looks like. This is where insight becomes direction and strategy begins.
Define. We explore the landscape your brand will live in, identifying opportunities to position it with clarity and purpose. Through research and strategy, we define the framework that guides every creative decision.
Design. With a clear direction in place, we bring the brand to life across every touchpoint. Whether it’s a visual identity, publication, website or complete communication system, every element works together to tell one cohesive story.

FOREST FIRST COLOMBIA is a sustainable forest company rooted in the belief that growing more trees makes for a better world. They were founded with the intent of bringing meaningful environmental, social, and economic benefits that have a positive impact for all stakeholders. Our role was to develop a brand that captured this intent and told these stories.
HDS was responsible for brand concepts, design, and execution of the identity and a multitude of deliverables. No leaf was left unturned.
WHAT OUR CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY!
“Kelly Hartman (Hartman Design Studio Inc) was instrumental in strategically rebranding Hoffman Institute Canada. She was able to clarify who we were, what made us unique, and how we could tell our story in a clear, informative and meaningful way. The brand was repositioned so all elements not only resonated with our past clients but helped open the door to many new clients. It was approachable, accessible and very appropriate.”
