Once Upon A Pond

A very well crafted piece that conceptually supports the exhibition in a deliberate but sympathetic way.

An art catalogue documenting an exhibition that discusses pond hockey in Canada and the effects of global warming on the sport. Four contemporary artists were invited to create works. The result: an object mimicking chinks of broken ice with skate marks criss-crossing the cover. Sections/chunks are bound together; each main artist allocated to a section with essays, local artists and other information following. This segmenting plays between connect and disconnect, supporting the message of communities struggling to stay together yet separating.
